I am an abstract painter and my paintings are largely about colour and form. They are informed by art and my experiences of looking and responding to the visual world.
Colour is central to my work; I am interested in the relationships between colours, putting one colour next to another and discovering their endless possibilities.
I always wanted to be an artist from an early age. I grew up in Canberra and moved to Melbourne when I was 17 to go to art school. I think I was very lucky to go to Art School when I did; it was a free education and an exciting place to be.
I keep creating because I am committed to the belief that the visual experience is important.
Copyright is very important to an artist; it provides an income and acknowledgement. It protects the work and the artist’s intentions.
