World Teachers’ Day celebrates the efforts of teachers on a global scale, acknowledging the important contribution they make to society.
Inaugurated on 5 October 1994 by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), World Teachers’ Day is celebrated annually in over 100 countries. The day allows students, parents and community members to show their appreciation for teachers.
