2023 Emerging Writers’ Festival invites you to discover new stories, new voices and new worlds.
Taking place in many Melbourne venues, this year’s Emerging Writers’ Festival runs for 11 days and includes performances, panels, professional development opportunities and online projects. With nearly 200 artists across 60 events, there’s sure to be an event to suit everyone.
Writers featured include Lay Maloney, Yaraan Bundle, Sofii Belling-Harding and Elijah Money, who all appear in the opening night event ‘Truth Telling’.
As part of the EWF, the National Writers’ Conference takes place on 17 June. Authors Yumna Kassab, Bella Li, Debra Dank and Victoria Hannan have been selected as ambassadors and will be in presenting their ideas at NWF.
The program also includes many free sessions and workshops, such as zine-making, archiving, and diary-writing. View the full program here.
