Exciting opportunity for writers and visual artists: Create Grants to open mid-December!

The Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund is offering $20,000 Create Grants to support Australian creative writers and visual artists to bring new projects to life.
If you’re a writer, this is your chance to develop your second book of fiction, literary non-fiction, children’s and young adult literature, poetry, graphic novel, or play. If you’re a visual artist, you could apply to create work for your fourth exhibition.
Up to five grants will be awarded in 2025, with projects starting after 1 August 2025.

Cultural Fund Grants for Organisations opening early next year
With 2025 just around the corner, the Cultural Fund’s grants for organisations will open at the end of January offering grants of up to $30,000 to support literature organisations, visual arts organisations, and publishers. Our 2025 funding priorities include:
- Commissions and Paid Opportunities for writers and visual artists through projects that grow and engage audiences.
- Targeted Leadership and Sector Development initiatives to strengthen the writing, publishing, and visual arts sectors.
- Support for projects to encourage reading and teaching Australian literature in schools and align with Reading Australia. Plan your applications now!
