Discovering and nurturing the talent within each student is the new paradigm in the classroom and Australian publishers’ are offering innovative products and solutions that equip students with the skills they will need in the new digital economy.
Each year the Australian Publishers Association celebrates excellence in educational publishing. Now in its 22nd year, the Educational Publishing Awards held at The Wheeler Centre on Thursday 19 September 2015 showcased the innovation of locally originated print and digital products.

The FYA recently published The New Work Order report which is compulsory reading for our members working in the education sector. It highlights the fact that Australian secondary students will have 13 jobs in four industries in their working lives.
The Copyright Agency was a sponsor of the Publisher of the Year Award again this year, which are voted on by educators and educational booksellers. We know that Copyright Agency payments make a real difference to many educational publishers particularly in the start-up phase of their business and it was great to see many of our members being acknowledged for their dedication and creative efforts on the night.
R.I.C. Publications based in Perth was named the Primary Publisher of the Year and Brisbane publisher Jacaranda won the Secondary Publisher of the Year award. We congratulate both these publishers on their outstanding achievement along with all the other category nominees and winners.
