Government seeking feedback on changes to copyright legislation
February 14, 2022
In late December, the Australian Government released a discussion paper and ‘exposure draft’ seeking feedback on potential changes to copyright legislation. Feedback is due by 25 February: see here.
In announcing the consultation process, the Minister said:
Australia’s copyright system underpins our creative economy and these reforms seek to provide clear and reasonable access to copyright materials, while maintaining the incentives and protections for content creators.
Copyright Agency is working with stakeholders and the government to make sure proposed drafting operates as intended.
