Changes to the Create Grants for 2022

The Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund has made some important changes to Create Grants for 2022.

Grants of $25,000 each will provide a living allowance to creative writers and visual artists to write and create new work.

Four grants will be awarded, two for creative writers and two for visual artists.

Only mid-career creative writers and visual artists can apply provided they meet the following eligibility criteria:

Authors must have published between 1 and 4 full-length works only, not including self-published works.
Visual artists must have between 5 – 10 years professional experience, with up to 10 solo exhibitions, not including group shows.

If you’re working as part of a collaboration, each applicant must be mid-career also and fulfill the eligibility criteria.
