Woodside Petroleum and Audit NSW win Governance Awards
July 30, 2018
Every year, hundreds of Australian companies and not-for-profits compile annual reports. The Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA), established in 1950, help organisations to improve their reporting standards and recognise those who are excelling in this area.
The 2018 Awards and associated Seminar on Reporting held recently gave delegates a chance to upskill as well. Conference participants notably heard from the Copyright Agency’s Senior Licensing Consultant Michael Witt on how to be copyright compliant when preparing your annual report. You can download his presentation here.
The Copyright Agency this year sponsored the Special Award for Governance Reporting, which recognises quality and completeness of disclosure in reporting on governance. The winners were: Woodside Petroleum in the business category, and the Audit Office of NSW in the Public/NFP sector. Commercial Licensing Director, Guy Johnson said: “The Copyright Agency supports good governance in all its forms and we are proud to recognise these two organisations for their exemplary governance in reporting over the past 12 months. Congratulations to both organisations.”
Entries for the 2019 ARA Awards will open on 1 October 2018 and close on Friday 7 December 2018. For more information please visit the ARA website.
