Code Reviewer’s report for 2016–17
December 6, 2017
Compliance with the Code of Conduct
The report by the Code Reviewer on collecting societies’ compliance with the Code of Conduct in 2016–17 is now available here. Each annual report on compliance looks at, among other things, Copyright Agency’s management of complaints.
Copyright Agency provided information to the Code Reviewer on four matters that are covered in the report:
- An artist’s payment under the artists’ resale royalty scheme;
- Lack of information regarding a lower payment to a member in 2017 compared to 2016;
- Participation in the online subscription platform managed by Copyright Agency; and
- Aspects of the media monitoring organisation licence.
The Government is currently conducting a review of the Code of Conduct. You can find more information about the review here.
